Our Story

Bridging Sri Lankan Farming Wisdom with Precision Automation

We design and deploy durable agricultural technology to protect crops, conserve water, and secure farmer livelihoods across Sri Lanka.

Our Mission

Making Automation Reliable, Affordable, and Accessible

Our mission is to make agricultural automation reliable, affordable, and accessible across Sri Lanka. By pairing field-proven IoT hardware with localized agronomic software, we empower farmers to increase yields while reducing water and chemical inputs.

The Founding Story

From the Field Up

Project Aurora was founded in [NEEDS REAL FOUNDING YEAR] by [NEEDS REAL FOUNDER NAMES] to solve a critical challenge facing Sri Lankan agriculture: escalating climate volatility, rising fertilizer expenses, and chronic water stress. While global precision farming tools existed, most were designed for vast Western monocultures—making them expensive, complex, and ill-suited for local tropical soils and microclimates.

Determined to build a localized solution, our founding team developed solar-powered IoT soil sensor stakes and automated control valves tailored for Sri Lanka's Dry Zone and Hill Country environments. Working alongside tea estate managers in Nuwara Eliya and paddy farming communities in Kurunegala, we iteratively refined our hardware and algorithms to withstand intense monsoon seasons while delivering straightforward, actionable data.

Today, Project Aurora supports agricultural operations across all 9 provinces of Sri Lanka. From family-owned shade houses to multi-hundred-acre commercial plantations and government irrigation channels, we continue to engineer technology that honors Sri Lanka's farming legacy while driving sustainable productivity.

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

Grounded Practicality

We design every sensor, valve, and software feature around the daily realities of field work, ensuring our technology is intuitive, durable, and directly profitable for the grower.

Resource Stewardship

We build tools that protect Sri Lanka's natural resources—minimizing water waste, reducing chemical runoff, and building climate resilience for future generations.

Uncompromising Field Support

Technology only works when supported in the field. We stand behind our hardware with rapid local maintenance, hands-on training, and ongoing agronomic guidance.

Our Team

The People Behind Project Aurora

Our team brings together Sri Lankan agronomy specialists, hardware systems engineers, and software developers committed to transforming local agriculture.
